Speed Service was at Capital Cars & Classics!

In Amsterdam’s trendiest district, on the site where ship engines were once built, stands the Kromhouthal; this 3,500 m² raw industrial venue provides the perfect setting for classic cars. The light and atmosphere of the Kromhouthal show the cars off to their best advantage.

What is CC&C? It is the quintessential classic car show in the heart of the Netherlands, a high-calibre event of international standing where, over two days, you’ll find the crème de la crème of the motoring world in a perfect industrial setting in Amsterdam. Both tastefully selected classic cars and modern classics will take centre stage as the main theme. This small-scale event was organised for the first time this year but has all the makings of eventually being mentioned in the same breath as European events such as Techno Classica and Retromobile.

Speed Service was, of course, there, showcasing these three beauties:

We have recently carried out a full restoration on this Porsche. We have replaced every part

or restored. Furthermore, the restoration was carried out with an eye for detail and originality.

The Speed Service 964 backdate, MADSTER

Inspired by the American Singer, we have created this unique backdate for a client

built. To give an idea of the many modifications we have made,

Below is a list:

– Front and rear mudguards, made entirely of steel, have been widened, lengthened and re-welded to match the old model,
– Front and rear bumpers, custom-designed and made from polyester,
– Rear spoiler, our own design with a homemade aluminium grille,
– Customised tubes, sub-tubes and internal screens,
– Carbon roof,
– Entire suspension system coated and fitted with new bearings etc.,
– Brake calipers in the same colour as the striping,
– Bilstein suspension,
– Three-piece 17-inch Fuchs alloy wheels,
– Interior fully upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara, with red stitching,
– Original turbo seats fitted with old-style headrests, name embroidered on the seats,
– Modified centre console and wiring harness,

– Original clocks fitted with special dials in an antique style, including the ‘MADSTER’ inscription,

– Door panels with modified old-style door frames,

– Custom-built exhaust system with GT3-style centre-mounted tailpipes.

And there are plenty more modifications that the connoisseur is sure to spot!
